DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstracts

The advancement in information technology over the years have brought a paradigm shift in the ways human being conduct their daily activities. These advancements can be extended to the management of conferences. It is a common phenomenon among conference organizers to sort similar submissions submitted into a theme in order to develop conference proceeding. These activities are time-consuming that requires fast and easy ways of managing it. The purpose of this paper is to design a content management system to manage submissions for conference proceedings and send updates to the registered participants.

In this paper, a web-based content management system that allows participants to register and submit abstract or full-length article was developed using PHP, and MYSQL to design a relational database for the backend, and DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery were used for the front-end design.
